A Scientific visit for the students of the Department of Environmental Science to the meteorology station in Zakho city

On Wednesday, the 26 of October, 2016 Assist. lecturer Ronak A. Meshabaz and Mr. Majeed along with the student in second stage, Environment Department, Faculty of Science, University of Zakho visited the meteorology station in Zakho. At the beginning, the director of station (Mr. Sherzan Hassan) welcomed the visiting students and then talked about the meteorology station in detail and explained the instruments used for measuring climatic elements one by one.

The aim of the scientific visit was important for student to show the instruments in the station practically and how those instruments work and record data and also to have knowledge about meteorology practically, however, this topic can explain in animal ecology lecture theory by Mss. Ronak but students must see it practically because this instruments are not available in college so its necessary for the students visit other places like meteorology station to better understand lectures Clearly and get information practically .Furthermore, in this visit it aimed to create stronger ties with their station in the area of academic related collaborations and engage in different kinds of activities such as joint-research projects.
